Apply for a Sri Lankan visa

If you are traveling to Sri Lanka for tourist purposes, you need to pay the Sri Lanka tourist cost, which is USD 75. Once you have cleared all the dues, you would get an approved visa. You would be eligible to stay for 30 days.

Yet, if you plan to visit Sri Lanka for business purposes, you would require to pay fees more. But this cost is more than the tourist fee. You would need to pay 85 USD, and you would get an approved visa, which is valid for 30 days.

 

Sri Lanka visa extension for Malaysian citizen

Once you have got an approved ETA visa, you would be suitable to stay in the country for at least 30 days. If you think these are not enough days and you want to explore the country. You can apply for a visa extension. For this purpose, you need to visit the Sri Lankan Immigration Embassy. After reaching there, you need to ask for a visa extension form. Fill up the form and pay an additional extension fee. Once you are done with all processes, it would take 2 to 3 days to process your application. So, it is a request to apply for an extension before 4 to 5 days of your visa expire. When your extension application has been processed, you would be able to stay for 120 days. But, you may get an extension for 150 days if you are in Sri Lanka on a business ETA visa.
